Acne is one of the most common skin disorders that affects approximately 50% of the population, at one time or another. Whether it is blackheads, whiteheads, papules, or pustules, blemishes or scarring, these are all worrisome skin imperfections. The cause of acne might be: hormonal activity; excess oil production; irregular or excessive exfoliation-both on the surface of the skin and in the pores; buildup of bacteria in the pores; irritation or reaction to cosmetics, or rarely-specific foods or medicines.
